I have always held a deep curiosity about the nature of experience and what it means to be human. What began as a philosophical enquiry and contemplative practice gradually led me into a deeper appreciation of embodiment and the relationship between mind and body.
After an early career in organisations, that same curiosity drew me towards education. I retrained as a teacher and spent many years exploring different educational approaches—including mainstream, Steiner and democratic education—and the ways they support the holistic development of our uniquely human capacities.
My own personal journey, together with a growing desire to support others, eventually led me to engage and train in Core Process Psychotherapy. Through this work I developed a deeper appreciation of what is to be human and how are earliest experiences continue to shape our physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing throughout life. I later undertook extensive further training in pre- and perinatal psychotherapy and Integrated Baby Therapy.
A longstanding relationship with Buddhist meditation, contemplative practice and respected teachers continues to inform my work. Alongside this, my training in embodiment and developmental psychology helps to ground my understanding in the immediacy of lived, relational experience.
Looking back, I can see that a single thread has run through each stage of my life: a fascination with how human beings grow, adapt and become themselves. Today, I bring these strands together in my work as a psychotherapist, offering a thoughtful, grounded and compassionate space in which people can explore their experience, discover new possibilities, and move towards a life that feels more connected and authentic.
