Supervision is more than a place to review clinical work or ensure ethical practice. It is a reflective relationship where we can slow down, deepen our awareness, and become more fully present to ourselves, our clients and the therapeutic process. Alongside supporting safe and effective practice, supervision offers an opportunity for ongoing personal and professional development.
My approach is grounded in contemplative supervision, informed by mindfulness practice and my training at the Karuna Institute. Rather than rushing to explanations or solutions, we cultivate curiosity about what is unfolding within the therapeutic relationship. We pay attention not only to the client’s story, but also to the embodied experience of the therapist, the wider relational field, and the subtle ways understanding emerges through careful observation and presence.
I aim to offer a supervisory relationship that is thoughtful, collaborative and gently challenging. Whether we are exploring clinical dilemmas, ethical questions, relational dynamics or your own experience as a practitioner, my intention is to create a space where reflection can deepen confidence, sustain good practice and support your continued growth as a therapist. I welcome therapists from a range of modalities, while my own background is in Core Process Psychotherapy and contemplative practice.
Starting a supervision relationship is a significant undertaking; it is important to find someone you feel comfortable with. If you would appreciate the opportunity to explore whether working together might be helpful, I would be happy to arrange an initial meeting where we can explore what brings you here and whether my approach feels like a good fit. If you would like to arrange an initial conversation, please provide some contact details in the form below.
If we decide to work together, we can work out a supervision schedule that supports your needs and the requirements of your client practice. This may be monthly, or a more regular meeting if needed.
Sessions are an hour long and in-person (they can be online if needed and appropriate).
My fee is £65. I sometimes have concessionary spaces for trainees or those with financial constraints.
My practice is based in a private room in Dartington, Devon.
