Psychotherapy

A place to meet yourself more deeply

Sometimes in life, we struggle in ways that are difficult to understand. We may feel anxious or overwhelmed, caught in familiar patterns, disconnected from ourselves or others, or simply aware that something doesn’t feel quite right. Therapy offers a space to pause, explore these experiences with curiosity, and discover new possibilities.

Compassion & Curiosity

Our relationships, experiences, and circumstances shape how we meet the world, sometimes leading us to develop ways of coping that once helped us but may now leave us feeling restricted or stuck. Rather than seeing these patterns as signs that something is fundamentally wrong, we can understand them as necessary responses that deserve to be met with compassion, awareness, and curiosity.

The Therapy Relationship

Therapy is not about someone analysing or fixing you. It is a collaborative process in which we explore your experience together at a pace that feels right. Through conversation, reflection, and careful attention to thoughts, feelings, and bodily experiences, therapy can help deepen understanding, ease suffering, and support meaningful change.

Core Process Psychotherapy

My practice is grounded in Core Process Psychotherapy, a contemplative and relational approach that integrates mindfulness, psychodynamic theory, and Buddhist psychology. Alongside this foundation, my work has been enriched by many years of further study, personal work, and training, including pre-and-peri-natal psychology, developmental psychology, embodiment, trauma-informed practice, and contemplative traditions. I draw on these perspectives in response to each person’s unique situation.

Starting Therapy

Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, and finding someone you feel comfortable with really matters. If you are wondering whether working together might be helpful, I would be happy to arrange an initial meeting where we can explore what brings you here and whether my approach feels like a good fit. If you would like to arrange an initial conversation, please provide some contact details in the form below.

Practicalities

Psychotherapy usually takes place on the same day and time each week. This enables a steady rhythm for the process and helps with managing diaries.

Sessions are an hour long and in-person (they can be online if needed and appropriate). Therapy can be short-term (minimum six sessions), or longer term.

My fee is £60. I sometimes have concessional spaces for those with financial constraints.

My practice is based in a private room in Dartington, Devon.

If you would like to arrange an initial conversation, please provide some contact details in the form below.
